ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

The environment is the physical, biological, social, economic, and cultural environment in which humans and other living beings interact and maintain their relationships throughout their lives. It is crucial for our future. If we cannot keep our environment under control, it will turn into a situation we will regret in the future.

Life and the environment are two essential elements that are interdependent. Human life and natural life are built on various balances. The relationship humans create with the environment is one of the most significant balances. The connections between these systems are often linked by long chains of relationships, which may be so subtle that individuals may not notice them.

At Bello Tekstil, we categorize our environmental policy under two groups.

We want all Bello Tekstil employees to be diligent in ensuring the maximum protection of nature and the environment in their development and growth efforts.
  • Uncontrolled migration from villages to cities
  • Congested urbanization and insufficient infrastructure
  • Increase in per capita consumption of natural resources (energy, water, paper, coal, etc.)
  • Industrial destruction of forests, fires, and soil erosion
  • Air pollution caused by heating (especially due to low-quality coal use)
  • Motor vehicles and marine vessels
  • Atmospheric events and natural disasters
  • Discharge of untreated urban and industrial wastewater into receiving environments
  • Urban solid waste and trash
  • Drainage of wetlands and lakes
  • Radiation caused by the widespread use of television, computers, X-rays, tomography, and other medical devices
  • Radiation caused by the widespread use of television, computers, X-rays, tomography, and other medical devices
  • We should not throw waste carelessly into the environment.
  • We should avoid settling near rivers and lake shores beyond the legal limits.
  • We should be careful not to use unnecessary water and energy in our homes.
  • We should separate packaging waste generated in our homes from regular trash and provide it to the municipality's packaging waste system.
  • We should not pour used cooking oils down the drain. These oils should be collected separately from other waste and given to the municipal waste oil collection system.
  • We should carefully separate electrical and electronic waste from regular trash and ensure they are handed over to the municipality’s separate collection system.
  • Waste batteries pose a serious threat to nature, so we should carefully separate batteries, cell phone batteries, and car batteries from regular waste and provide them to the municipal collection system.
  • Ensure that our company vehicles undergo regular and timely maintenance and measurements.
  • Collect our waste batteries separately and ensure they are delivered to the municipal solid waste landfill.
  • Collect toner waste generated in our workplaces and ensure it is recycled through a company that handles it without harming the environment and human health.
  • We store used or expired vegetable oils in special containers and ensure they are recycled through a company that handles them.
  • We prevent psychological and physiological discomfort for our employees by ensuring the necessary decibel measurements for machines to reduce noise pollution.
  • We ensure the necessary conditions are met during food production and storage to prevent food contamination.
  • We ensure the efficient use of our natural resources.
  • We raise environmental awareness by making sure that all our employees are aware of their individual responsibilities.

According to Article 56 of the Turkish Constitution: “Everyone has the right to live in a healthy and balanced environment. It is the duty of the state and citizens to improve the environment, protect environmental health, and prevent environmental pollution.”

For our common future, environment, and health, there are things we can do personally. Protecting nature starts with recognizing it, and the most valuable inheritance is a clean, healthy environment.
